Description
Beautiful robin’s egg blue Nevada turquoise cabochon wrapped in sterling silver wire with a simple circular design.
This turquoise cabochon is from the estate sale of a jewelry artist in our area. The cabochons were not marked, and they looked like they had been in the gentleman’s collection for quite some time….so we sent one off for testing to find out more. It was determined that the stones likely came from Nevada many years ago. We do not know much more than that. The stones were on an adhesive strip and the remnant of that sticker is still on the back side of the cabochon. I did not want to risk damaging the stone in effort to remove it.
I have wrapped in sterling silver wire, with a simple circular design.
Size: 38 x 15 x 7 mm. 4 grams total weight.
Comes in a jewelry gift box with a black waxed cord and small polishing cloth.
Care tips for sterling silver jewelry:
- Store your jewelry in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. You can use a ziplock bag or an anti-tarnish pouch to prevent oxidation.
- Clean your jewelry regularly with a soft cloth or a mild soap and water solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners, chemicals, or ultrasonic cleaners that can damage the surface of your jewelry.
- Polish your jewelry with a polishing cloth or a silver polish to restore its shine and luster. Do not use paper towels or tissues that can leave fibers on your jewelry.
- Avoid wearing your jewelry when doing activities that can expose it to high temperatures, moisture, or friction, such as cooking, swimming, or exercising. Remove your jewelry before applying cosmetics, perfumes, or hairsprays that can cause discoloration or tarnish.
