Description
This piece has beautiful natural light reddish orange garnet crystals on white mother-rock matrix.
It is from the area’s famous gemstone-bearing granite pegmatites, near Skardu in the Shigar Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan in northern Pakistan.
In this region, much of the mining is done in thousands of small hand-worked digs.
