Beautiful pink kunzite spodumene crystal from Alingar Pegmatite Field, Laghman Afghanistan. UV reactive under 365nm long wave.
One end has multiple "teeth" terminations.
Kunzite is the pink variety of Spodumene. We also have the yellow variety, called Triphane.
Size: 27 x 25 x 14 mm. 14 grams.
Kunzite is the pink to lilac variety of spodumene, a lithium aluminum silicate. It was first identified in 1902 by famed gemologist George Frederick Kunz, hence the name.
This piece is part of a large collection we acquired many years ago. The colors are absolutely beautiful.
