Description
Natural Brown Amber Tumbles — Fossil Amber from Sumatra (Premium Polished Grade)
Origin: Jambi / Sarolangun Region, Sumatra
Geologic Age: Miocene (~20–30 million years)
Material: Natural fossilized tree resin (amber)
These beautifully polished brown amber tumbles come from the rich amber-producing region of Sumatra. Their deep, warm mahogany-to-coffee coloration is completely natural, formed as ancient tree resin fossilized over millions of years. When held to the light, many stones show a soft inner glow with subtle swirls, natural veils, or fine internal textures.
Unlike treated or artificial resin products, these stones are 100% natural fossil amber, shaped and polished without dyes, heat treatment, or enhancements. They have a smooth, silky feel in the hand and a clean, glassy polish that highlights their natural color.
This uniform brown variety is sometimes referred to in the trade as “Coffee Amber” for its rich, earthy tone.
These pieces fluoresce with a stunning electric blue-cobalt blue glow under 365nm long wave UV. When the fluorescence is viewed from the side, however, the center of the piece retains its warm gold to orange-red color.
