Herkimer diamonds are not true diamonds, but a type of quartz crystal that can be found in dolomite outcrops in and around Herkimer County, New York. They are known for their clarity and natural faceting, which give them a diamond-like appearance. Herkimer diamonds are popular among collectors and jewelers and can be mined by visitors at the Herkimer Diamond Mines Resort.
14 kt gold filled wire is a type of wire that has a layer of 14 karat gold bonded to a base metal, usually brass, by heat and pressure.
