Description
Striking specimen of translucent green Fluorite from the renowned Yaogangxian Mine, associated with lustrous black metallic Sb-bearing sulfosalt crystals in the stibnite group, with minor pyrite. The sharply striated crystals display a dramatic contrast against the softly translucent fluorite, exhibiting subtle bronze to reddish internal reflections characteristic of berthierite (a rarer mineral associated with complex antimony-rich hydrothermal mineralization). The metallic Sb-bearing sulfosalt crystals are further accented by a delicate coating of microcrystalline Pyrite, forming tiny brassy cubic crystals that create a striking gold-on-black contrast against the translucent green fluorite. This specimen represents the classic aesthetic and mineralogical style for which the Yaogangxian district is internationally celebrated among collectors.
Size: 73 x 55 x 45 mm. 236 grams.
