Description
SHORT WAVE UV LAMP NEEDED FOR THIS:
Fluorescent chondrodite, diopside and calcite specimen. These are also called “Starry Night” due to the appearance of the fluorescent yellow specks of chondrodite, and blue diopside scattered on the piece.
FOR BEST FLUORESCENCE YOU WILL NEED A QUALITY, FILTERED 254nm SHORT WAVE ULTRAVIOLET LAMP.
You will get some fluorescence with a 365nm long wave ultraviolet light, but this one reacts much better to short wave UV.
The chondrodite fluoresces yellow, the diopside fluoresces blue, the calcite is non reactive.
Size: 98 x 52 x 30 mm. 116 grams.
