Pollucite was first discovered on the island of Elba, Italy in 1846 and named after Pollux, the twin brother of Castor in Greek mythology, because it is often associated with petalite (formerly called castorite).

Pollucite is a rare mineral that belongs to the zeolite group of silicates. It is usually colorless or white, with a glassy or oily appearance.

Pollucite has several metaphysical properties that are believed to be beneficial for spiritual growth and awareness, connection to higher realms, clearer thinking, calming emotional pain, releasing negative energies, inner peace, improved wealth and social positioning, confidence, regeneration of the etheric blueprint, and inducing contact with spiritual beings.
