Description
Gorgeous scepter quartz crystal with double terminations. The smaller termination has secondary growth of smaller clear quartz crystals. There is a hint of lavender near the smaller termination.
Doubly terminated quartz crystal clusters are a rare and fascinating type of quartz formation. They consist of multiple crystals that have two natural terminations or points at both ends, instead of one. These crystals grow in environments where they are not attached to a host rock or matrix, but instead float freely in a fluid-filled cavity. The fluid provides the necessary nutrients and conditions for the crystals to form and grow in all directions, resulting in symmetrical and balanced shapes. Some of the factors that influence the growth of doubly terminated quartz crystal clusters are the temperature, pressure, chemistry and duration of the fluid exposure.
