Description
This beautiful elongated spodumene crystal comes from the world-famous pegmatite fields of Minas Gerais, Brazil, one of the planet’s premier sources of gem spodumene. The specimen shows the classic thin, bladed crystal habit with strong parallel striations and high clarity — a signature of Brazilian material from the Araçuaí–Coronel Murta–Gov. Valadares region.
Features
• Highly transparent spodumene with a brilliant internal sparkle
• Strong long-wave UV fluorescence, glowing a vivid pinkish-orange due to natural manganese content
• Exceptional elongation and form, displaying the classic “spodumene blade” morphology
• Excellent luster and surface definition, with well-preserved cleavage and striation patterns
• 100% natural — not heated, irradiated, or treated
In daylight, the crystal appears colorless to very pale pink/light yellow, typical of natural spodumene. Under UV light (365 nm), it lights up with a striking fluorescent pink glow, a diagnostic feature of Brazilian kunzite/triphane.
Locale: Minas Gerais, Brazil
Most likely from the Araçuaí or Coronel Murta pegmatite districts, known for producing long, slender spodumene blades with excellent clarity and UV response.
