Description
A polished face reveals rich teal-blue and green chrysocolla crossed by a fine network of reddish native copper. Small open cavities add depth, while the pale gray host rock provides a contrasting border around the mineralized areas.
This substantial, tapered piece retains a rough back that shows the host rock’s fragmental texture. The volcanic matrix is interpreted as altered tuff—a rock formed from consolidated volcanic ash and fragments.
Locality: Garut, West Java, Indonesia
Weight: 110 g
Dimensions: Approximately 95 × 35 × 25 mm; thickness measured at the center, tapering toward one end.
Held in Old Earth Minerals’ inventory for approximately five years, this piece is now being offered for sale.
