An interesting specimen featuring botryoidal chalcedony that formed in a volcanic vesicle within basalt. The chalcedony domes reflect growth within the vesicle cavity.
Bottom and side surfaces are cut and ground using the traditional techniques of the basalt miners in the Deccan Trap region. Collection fracture or attachment scar on one dome
