Description
A classic specimen of botryoidal chalcedony featuring a well-formed larger dome and smaller chalcedony growths. The surface exhibits a smooth, natural luster with a soft reflective quality and subtle translucence.
Formed within a volcanic cavity in the Deccan Traps, this piece represents stable silica deposition that allowed for the development of thick, rounded botryoidal forms.
Natural surface variation typical of botryoidal chalcedony growth. Bottom and side surfaces are cut and ground using the traditional techniques of the basalt miners in the Deccan Trap region.
