This muscovite-schorl-albite piece is from the famous gemstone-bearing granite pegmatites of the Shigar Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan in northern Pakistan.
Multiple “books” of muscovite mica are nestled within an albite matrix. There are tourmaline crystals that are fragments at the base of the piece.
