Indonesian Fossil Coral Preserved by Conversion to Beautiful Agate

This is an ancient colonial coral, over 20 million years old, that has been preserved and fossilized into a beautiful piece of Indonesian agate.

During preservation, the original calcium carbonate of the coral skeletons reacted with high silica fluids of volcanic origin and silica slowly replaced the original calcite with this beautiful agate.

It has been cut polished to form a beautiful slab. Some parts of the polish are not a final mirror finish, but does not diminish the beauty of this piece.🥰

Location: Indonesia

Size: 62x33x7 mm. 26 grams.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you combine shipping for multiple pieces in an order?

Yes, we are happy to combine shipping for multiple pieces. Our pieces have different weights, however, and that makes it a bit challenging to combine shipping as you are ordering, but you will only pay the actual combined shipping cost plus a $1.00 handling & material fee. We will refund any overages as soon as we create the shipping label (thst's the point when we know the actual price for shipping).
